Mufflers
Even the best muffler in the world is completely useless if it doesn’t fit under your car or truck. Oval is the most common shape for a muffler for one main reason, fitment! This is why we offer 3 different sizes and designs of oval mufflers. This way you are sure to find a muffler that will fit your application. If oval is not what you’re looking for, we also have round bodies and our famous triangle style mufflers.
All our mufflers are available in a wide variety of configurations and like all Cortek mufflers are bi-directional. This makes them one of the most versatile mufflers on the market.
45 Series Round
The 45 Series is our smallest muffler, at only 4.5" in diameter it is best used in a resonator position as it locks the internal volume to control low to mid frequencies. This model can effectively take the edge off a high pitched exhaust note but for meaningful sound suppression, it is best paired with a larger unit in the rear.

47 Series Oval
The 47 Series Oval mufflers is our smallest oval design. The compact design, makes for an easy fitment, where space is limited. These are often used as resonators, where driveshafts, or footwells make it impossible to fit larger round body resonators. Because of it's smaller internal volume this muffler will tend to be louder than our 48, 58 and 51 Series.

48 Series Oval
The 48 Series Oval mufflers is our second most popular oval muffler, trailing closely behind the 58 Series. This wider, flatter shape fits nicely where ground clearance is limited. Due to the large internal volume of these mufflers, they offer great sound absorption properties and produce a nice mellow and deep exhaust note. These are an excellent choice for most cars and trucks, where the mufflers are located below the floor.

51 Series Oval
The 51 series is our largest oval body muffler. Because of its large internal volume, it is a very effective sound absorber and offers an even deeper and more subdued exhaust note than any other straight through muffler we've tested. It's ideally suited for larger vehicles like pickup trucks and SUV's. It can make huge horsepower vehicle streetable.

57 Series Round
The 57 Series is our largest round body muffler, but at 5.7" in diameter it's still very versatile. These compact mufflers are often used in a resonator position, or as mufflers on many sport compact cars and sometimes trucks. One key benefit of the round design is that an offset muffler can be rotated 360 degrees to help move exhaust around obstacles while not causing any clearance issues with the muffler body.

58 Series Oval
The 58 Series is our most popular oval body muffler. It's our midsized offering but thanks to its efficient use of space it offers performance similar to larger models from other brands. The 58 Series Oval offers great sound absorption properties and produce a nice mellow and deep exhaust note. These are the perfect choice for most cars that have mufflers positioned at the rear or for trucks with more central mufflers. Cars with central mufflers are likely better served by 45 and 48 Series.

TR Series Triangle
We originally designed the TR Series in 2008 to solve ground clearance issues on some cars. The unique triangle shape makes for some of the most efficient use of available space. On most front wheel drive cars, the empty drive shaft tunnel is triangular shaped. With TR Series Triangles, the muffler is able to fit up higher into the tunnel without contacting the sides. By placing the muffler higher, up to 1.5” of extra ground clearance can be gained vs. a similar sized round muffler.
The TR Series make for great resonators because they have the same internal volume of a larger round muffler and none of the ground clearance issues. The result is a great sounding exhaust that doesn’t drag on the ground when ever you drive over a speed bump or into your driveway. These units can also work wonders on rear wheel drive vehicles, where they can be placed in the tunnel on either side of the driveshaft.
